How many beds does Ahuja Medical Center have?

University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center, which opened in 2011, is a 144-bed community hospital focused on patient and family-centered care and the principles of evidence-based design.

Where is UH Ahuja located?

Situated on 53 acres in Beachwood, Ohio , UH Ahuja Medical Center is designed to be one of the safest and most technologically advanced hospitals in the country. Built on a calm, park-like campus that includes gardens and walkways, this Beachwood medical center provides exceptional care to residents of Cuyahoga, Lake and Summit counties.

Hospital design

The UH Ahuja Medical Center will house seven floors of outpatient, inpatient and emergency services as well as a medical office building. Throughout those floors, the latest wireless technology and diagnostic services will be used to increase efficiency and patient safety.

Patient-centered care

The UH Ahuja Medical Center will house 144 beds in its initial phase, ultimately growing to 600 beds in three phases. Inpatient rooms are acuity adaptable, minimizing the need to transfer and transport patients.

Volunteer Opportunities

Most volunteers say that the personal fulfillment, which comes from helping another person, is their greatest reward. Other volunteers look forward to the new friendships and camaraderie they share with fellow volunteers and staff members. Many enjoy learning new skills and contributing to the community.
