How does the Noridian Medicare portal display diagnoses?

The Noridian Medicare Portal displays all diagnoses submitted on a claim. Diagnosis codes indicated as the primary diagnosis per line item on a claim will also display. The admitting diagnosis will also display if it was entered on the claim.

When will I receive notification of a Medicare claim determination?

The notices are mailed daily; therefore, notification is received shortly after the claims are processed. Checks are included with the remittance advice if the claim determination is for an approved payment when the supplier has not signed up for direct deposit of Medicare payment.

What happens if a Medicare opt out is not signed?

NMP offers access to view claim processing comments if a claim had been selected for prepayment review in which Noridian requested documentation prior to making a claim decision.

Results

Results based on the search criteria are displayed. The date, check number, check amount and number of pages are provided. Choose "View PDF" to view the remittance advice in a PDF format. The remittance advice may be saved and/or printed.

DME Remittance Advices Reminders

DME Remittance Advices are only available going forward from March 10, 2021.

Reminders

The portal can only display 100 remits at a time based on the search criteria.

Response

A copy of the claim-specific remittance advice displays. To print the remittance advice, select "Print Page". The information on this screen will vary depending on the claim. Definitions of remark and reason codes are provided on the bottom of the remittance advice.
