Do hospitals have special units?
Usually, the more beds a hospital has, the more services it provides. Most hospitals, for example, deliver babies. But not all hospitals have a special unit just for cancer patients or for patients with very bad burns. Hospitals usually have a number of departments that treat patients, such as: Emergency department.

We know that life is busy. So we’ve made it even easier to get the care you need. Most of our medical offices that offer primary and pediatric care are now open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. This includes pharmacy, lab, and imaging services.

What is an emergency medical condition?
An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that requires immediate medical attention to prevent serious jeopardy to your health. For the complete definition of an emergency medical condition, please refer to your Evidence of Coverage or other coverage documents.
Do you need a support person for an OB ultrasound?
One support person if patient is completing an OB ultrasound (in Radiology or OBGYN or Adult and Family Medicine). If not accompany ing the patient in the exam room, the support person will be required to wait for the patient outside of the clinic.
Can you drink while visiting a patient?
Visitors are not allowed to drink or eat while visiting in the patient’s room unless discussed with and allowed by the care team or unit. Visitors under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult from the same household (counts as 2 visitors), wear a face mask, and follow all infection control measures during the visit.
