Does United MA cover ARC?
Since the United MA plan requires that you use providers in their network, they may not cover the care you receive at ARC in 2019, which means higher costs for you. This will not change your access to care in 2018 and you can continue to see your ARC providers through December 31, 2018.
Is Austin Regional Clinic in network with United Medicare?
Effective January 1, 2019, an important change will take place for Austin Regional Clinic patients who are currently enrolled in a United AARP Medicare Advantage Plan or any United Medicare Advantage (MA) plan. ARC will not be in network with any United Medicare Advantage Plans for the entirety of 2019.
What is a Medicare Wellness Assessment?
This is a benefit provided to patients with a Medicare insurance plan. It is conducted by a dedicated Medical Wellness Provider at Austin Regional Clinic.

What is the cost to me?
Medicare plans provide this benefit at no cost to the patient. You are eligible for this assessment every 365 days.
Initial Enrollment Period (IEP)
When you first become eligible for Medicare, you will typically be granted an Initial Enrollment Period (IEP). This period begins three months before you turn 65 years old, includes the month of your birthday and continues for an additional three months.
Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)
The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP, also called the Medicare Open Enrollment Period for Medicare Advantage plans) takes place from October 15 to December 7 each year. This period is open to all eligible Medicare beneficiaries who wish to add, drop or change Medicare plans.
Special Enrollment Period
If you experience a qualifying circumstance, you may be granted a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) at any time throughout the year to allow you to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan.
