Had potential

Our division unfortunately closed due to mismanagement at the local level. Corporate did not take reports of mismanagement seriously until it was too late. The work as a whole was extremely rewarding and innovating. We partnered w an ACO and insurance companies, PCPs, while providing the best care for highly complex patients.

I only worked part time

I worked 24 hours per week and got full benefits which was great. We never prescribed medication which was a real down side. Part of my role as a nurse practitioner is to diagnose and treat illlnesses which we were not allowed to do. We were information gatherers mainly.

Fair management

Looking back I can say that this was good experience and oppurtunity to work with Optum/UHG. Although there were times the workload could get heavy I still feel like management would make adjustments and assist you with the increase in work.
